First let me say that being a part of this moment will be something I will never forget. Taylor reached out to me after seeing some of my work and from our first conversation on the phone I knew he was a great guy. We chatted for a bit about our relocation to the Charlotte area then we set up the details. I'm not sure who was more excited...him or me... Pretty sure it was him and rightfully so.
The scene was set. Weather was amazing and I would be shooting a rooftop proposal from the 21st floor with a gorgeous view of uptown Charlotte.. Taylor and Mallory had already arrived at the restaurant. When I arrived the hostess kindly escorted me to the rooftop.
As we were walking I was really hoping the waitress didn't point to where Talyor and Mallory were sitting. I'll give you one guess... Yes she pointed directly at the table while they were sitting there. Me expecting that, I never broke stride and kept walking. Didn't look that direction because I would have hated to ruin this memorable night. We were in the clear Mallory still had no idea...phewwwww!!!
While I was waiting outside communicating with Taylor via text confirming where to stand and time he would be out to the rooftop. Let me tell you this was the most crowded rooftop ever and everyone was taking pictures. I'm pretty sure 90% of high school prom attendees were there. Once I received The Final Text... I kindly asked everyone to move to out the way...then it was SHOWTIME!!!!
Taylor escorted Mallory to the spot chosen and then got down on one knee and asked the love of his life to be his wife. The joy and shock that Mallory displayed made the moment timeless. Then came tears...hugs and kisses. I was so grateful to be a part of capturing this moment. We continued to shoot and got some amazing photos for about 45min. Meeting Mallory officially and seeing how happy she was confirmed even more of why Taylor was so excited for this night.
I am so happy for the both of them and can't wait to deliver them their gallery. Congrats again to Taylor and Mallory!!!!!!
